David E. Stegmeier, 25, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Stegmeier, Melville, was fatally injured in a Jeep accident Jan. 4, 1970 near Boulder, Colorado., where he resided the past four years.  David was born July 7, 1944 in Carrington and graduated from CHS.  He lived at Melville, Minneapolis and Boulder, Colo.  He was in the National Guard for six years.  He had two brothers, Edgar and Dennis, two sisters Mrs. John (Sylvia) Lappasko, St. Paul, Minn., and Mrs. William (Maxine) Healy, Jr., Boulder Colo.
