Where else have you lived ?

Portland, Oregon area has been my home since 1971.
We now live in Wilsonville, OR on 23 acres on the Willamette River.

What do you like to do in your spare time ?

2011 was the first year that I have had "spare time". I've found that most of my off time is centered around the home. Landscaping, vegetable and flower gardens, eating healthy, cooking. Interior decorating and design. Caring for our animals. Theater, ballet, symphony. Travel. Reading. My latest passion is painting - oils, acrylics, and watercolors.

* At which grade level, (examples Grade 1, Grade 5, Grade 8), did you join the Class of '62 (Carrington Public School)?

2nd or 3rd grade

If you departed Carrington prior to Graduation from CHS with the Class of '62, what was the last grade, (Examples: Grade 3, Grade 5, Grade 8), that you attended in Carrington ?

after my Junior year

School Story:

I received my RN degree from Kettering College near Dayton, Ohio.
Later I worked for a BS degree in Hospital Administration.

What's your favorite vacation place ?

Currently that would be Florence, Italy with Verona a close second.
So much history, art, and great food.

Where would you like to go that you haven't been ?

Portugal is on my list.

How do you see yourself in 10 Years ?

Hopefully in good health and living much the same as we do now.
I was blessed with good North Dakota genes.

Any words of wisdom ?

Keep a sense of humor regarding the aging process!

Comments:

I worked in many areas in nursing - med/surg, orthopedics. I even worked in one of the last TB hospitals before its closing. My last job in a hospital was in critical care as Head Nurse of Post Anesthesia Recovery. My husband was an Orthopedic Surgeon and after we married I managed his offices. We closed his office practice in 2016. We continued a medical/legal consulting practice until covid hit in 2019. I've had a long and interesting work life. Nursing has been good to me.

Attending Mini Reunion (06/20/14)
